First time in the breed ring!
Sire and Grandsire to Champion offspring~

I trained and owner handled Rico for his debut in AKC conformation, going RWD over
mature and major pointed. Rico is quite a pistol and we sure had fun! Rico finished his
AKC Ch in just under 2 months at barely 16 months of age! We gave him a year off to
mature, and he hit the breed ring with a bang! April, 2012- Rico is now a AKC GCH, he
rose to #4 Aussie, #7 all breed. Rico also achieved an AOM at the 2012 USASA National
Specialty. Rico was handled for his GCH and ranked  by Paul Catterson. I had the
privilege of watching and it was a stunning performance. With the top in our breed from
around the world, and to see Rico time after time making the cut was truly a day I will
never forget! I am so grateful to Paul Catterson for the superb job he did in handling
Rico to his GCH, ranking him, and his amazing award at Nationals.

It is impossible to capture the essence of this incredible boy on camera. Rico is
absolutely stunning! From his perfect head, firm topline, gorgeous coat and
markings, to his breathless movement as he floats across the ring. He is simply
breathtaking. He has those "bedroom eyes", deep brown, with a slight tilt, his
expression is animated and quite intense! His bone and balance is perfect, with
beautiful angles, and perfect shoulder lay back, he falls off at the croup onto a perfect
rear, neither bulky nor weak and has beautiful oval bone and feet. If his looks are not
enough to break your heart, spend a minute or two in his company and you will fall
madly in love. He is true to his name, Suave and adoring, and quite spoiled because of
his charismatic nature. He is truly an incredible representation of this amazing breed~
Rico proves what an amazing stud we have in his sire, Sonny..

"Once in a lifetime"; if we are fortunate, once in a lifetime we have the pleasure of
breeding or owning and certainly loving a dog as amazing as "Rico". And I had
that pleasure for 6 years. But love is not always enough, and Rico is a true
"showman", his love of the ring beats with his heart, glows in his eyes and is
apparent to all that watch him proudly stand or flow across a ring. I was given a
gift, but I knew that I was holding Rico back from HIS true love and all he has the
potential for. Rico is now owned, loved and will be forever residing with Joanne of
Canyon lakes. We are thrilled to be able to retain co-ownership, but his *new* life
will be with Joanne and her family. See updates or for stud inquires, click
